ANTHRACITE COAL
Ultra High Grade (UHG) anthracite is a superior quality, high-ranking type of the premium-grade coal category, characterized by its highest fixed carbon content (typically ≥95%), fewest impurities, lowest moisture, ash, and volatile matter), and consequently, the highest energy density and cleanest burn compared to other grades of coal and anthracite. With its distinct properties, anthracite coal commands a premium in the marketplace and is sought after for specialized uses.
The product is used primarily in the metallurgical industry a cost-effective replacement for coke in applications like sintering, pelletizing, and direct injection into blast furnaces, as well as for producing steel in electric arc furnaces.
